Welcome to STEM! STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This is the first year that STEM will be at Hebron Valley and I am so excited and honored to be apart of it! Through this enrichment program, students will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of different careers that pertain to the four different STEM content areas. Through STEM, students develop important skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and creativity. Students will recognize how these skills can be related to not only school, but to their everyday lives as well. Usually, students will be presented with a problem and we will work together to use the LISD Engineering Design Process to come up with a solution to the problem, just as real engineers do. Students will have a variety of hands on activities to explore and problem solve with creativity.
